1950s Exorcists Lore
1950s Exorcists is an ongoing development passion project following Ash Smith a young person in their twenties. They struggled through the Great Slump and WWII while being a child in London. Their family moves him to America for hopefully a better life in college. They are looking for a job and comes across this sketchy old paper on a job application board that is for an exorcism job.
Dakota mars is a very paranoid person. He has struggled through years of catholic guilt which led him to becoming an exorcist. The fifties are a hard time for everyone because McCarthyism is in full effect. He however has discovered that demons actually exist and is making it more confusing to tell if someone is actually a communist or a demon. He has found out that every single person has a demon linked to them based off of their greatest fear. They are all trying to kill their counterparts but they haven’t met them yet. His fear is the fear of loud noises or music.
Ash Smith is a young person in their twenties looking for a new life in America after the Great Depression in London and WWII. He dreams of opening a restaurant and has found a newfound love for cooking. They go to college for culinary and as he first arrives in America, he goes to a nearby diner for shelter from the rain. They sit down and looks at a job application board where there is a job for an exorcism job that pays pretty well. It looks like it has been there for a while and despite that calls the number anyways. Dakota offers them to stay until he finalizes things about them being his assistant. His fear is giant anthropomorphic rabbits.
